Privacy policy

This page covers the forms on realmomvibes.com: the waitlist, and the one for free guides like the soup recipes. It is written to be read, not to protect anyone from anything. If something here is unclear, ask and we’ll explain it.

Who is responsible

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

• The name and email address you type into the form
• The date and time you signed up
• Which page you signed up from
• A record that you ticked the consent box, when you ticked it, and which version of this policy was in effect at the time

When you ask for a free guide, we store:

• The first name and email address you type into the form
• Which guide you asked for, and when
• Whether you ticked the box for new recipes and guides, when you ticked it, and which version of this policy was in effect at the time
• When the guide was emailed to you, so it can be resent if it goes missing

That is the entire list. We do not ask for or store anything else.

Separately, the web server keeps standard access logs: your IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested and the time. These are used only to keep the site running and to block abuse, and they are deleted automatically after 14 days.

What we don’t do

• No cookies and no tracking storage of any kind on this site
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels
• No third-party services on the site. Every part of these pages, including the fonts, loads from our own server. Nobody else sees your visit
• We never sell, rent, or trade your information. The only outside company that handles it is Google, which delivers the guide emails (see below)

Why we have it, and on what basis

Waitlist: we use your name and email for one purpose: to contact you about the thing you joined the waitlist for. Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box on the form.

Free guides: we use your name and email to send you the guide you asked for. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is that you asked for it (Article 6(1)(b)). If you tick the box for new recipes and guides, we will also email you those, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Leaving the box unticked never affects getting the guide.

You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it: reply to any email, or write to the address above.

How long we keep it

Waitlist: until you ask us to remove you, or 24 months after you sign up, whichever comes first.

Free guides: 90 days after your latest request, so the guide can be resent if it goes missing, then deleted automatically. If you ticked the box for new recipes and guides, until you ask us to stop, or 24 months after your latest request, whichever comes first.

Guide emails are sent from Kelly’s own mailbox, so a copy of each one stays in her sent mail. Ask and yours will be deleted.

If you ask to be deleted, we keep only a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of your email address, so that nobody can tick the box on the form to sign you back up for emails. You can still ask for guides, and if you want the emails again, just tell us.

The database is backed up nightly to the same server, readable only by the administrator, and each backup is deleted after 14 days. If you ask to be removed, you disappear from the live list immediately and from the backups within 14 days. Deleted entries are never restored into the live list.

Where it is stored

On a private server in the United States.

Guide emails are sent through Google Workspace, Kelly’s email provider (Google LLC, United States). Google handles your name and email address to deliver the message, and keeps the sent copy in her mailbox. It is the only third party involved, and waitlist details never leave our server.

Your rights

Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us to:

• Show you a copy of everything we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete you entirely
• Withdraw your consent, which also removes you from the list
• Export your data in a portable format, or object to how we use it

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the entry.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect or what we do with it, we will publish a new version here and ask for consent again rather than assuming the old consent carries over. Each signup is stored alongside the policy version it agreed to.
